Biography

Dr. Monica Anderson was raised in Bellville, Texas, and has always had a strong desire to help others and pursue a career in the medical field. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Texas A&M University before continuing her education at Mississippi College, where she received her Master's degree in Biology, graduating on the Dean's List with a 4.0 GPA. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. During dental school, Dr. Anderson devoted her time to serving others through outreach and mission work. She participated in a mission trip to Honduras, where she provided dental treatment to those in need, and volunteered with the Texas Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, and Give Veterans a Smile programs. Dr. Anderson is an active member of the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association. She is a certified provider for ClearCorrect orthodontic aligners and is credentialed through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics in Botox, dermal fillers, and Frontline TMJ therapy. Coming from a family of medical professionals, Dr. Anderson's passion for patient care runs deep. Her father, Dr. Victor Canchola, is an emergency room physician, her mother, Cindy Canchola, is a nurse, and her younger brother, Dr. Payton Canchola, is also a dentist practicing in Katy, Texas. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Anderson enjoys a full and active family life with her husband, John, her bonus children, Kaylee and Wesley, and her twin toddlers, Madelyn and Maddox. In her free time, she enjoys baking, Pilates, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is also deeply committed to her community, serving as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of Austin County, a member of the Bluebonnet Society of Austin County, and the Aggie Moms' Club. Dr. Anderson is excited to provide excellent dental care while building lasting relationships with both new and existing patients.
